Experiences at Tockington Park

More to discover
Alongside weddings and stays, we are always exploring new ways for people to enjoy Tockington Park.

Many of the ideas below have been inspired by the things we enjoy ourselves: time outdoors, good food, wellbeing and bringing people together. While these experiences are not currently available to book, they offer a glimpse of what the future may hold:

Wellness
Plans for future hot tub, cold plunge and sauna facilities for cottage guests.

Retreats
Yoga, pilates, guided walks and small-scale wellbeing events in a countryside setting.

Country pursuits
Traditional outdoor pursuits and countryside experiences designed for groups and private gatherings.

Food & gatherings
Harvest suppers, wine tastings, festive events and seasonal celebrations centred around food and hospitality.

Wellness

Wellbeing has always felt like a natural fit for Tockington Park. Surrounded by open countryside and panoramic views, it is a place where guests naturally slow down, switch off and spend time outdoors.

Today, guests staying in The Granary can enjoy a private wood-fired hot tub overlooking the surrounding fields. It has quickly become one of our favourite places on the estate, particularly as the sun sets across the countryside.

Looking ahead, we hope to create shared wellness facilities that can be enjoyed by all cottage guests. Ideas currently include a hot tub, cold plunge and potentially a sauna, creating more opportunities to relax and recharge during your stay.

Whether visiting for a wedding weekend or a peaceful countryside escape, we hope these future additions will offer another way to enjoy the slower pace of life at Tockington Park.

Retreats

Tockington Park is a place where people can come to slow down, spend time together and enjoy the countryside. We are exploring the possibility of hosting a small number of wellbeing retreats during quieter periods of the year, making use of the estate’s unique spaces and peaceful setting.

We are particularly interested in retreats centred around movement, wellbeing and time outdoors. Ideas currently include yoga, pilates, guided walks, strength and mobility sessions, and practical workshops focused on nutrition and healthy living. Retreats could be enjoyed by guests staying in the cottages, while also welcoming day visitors from the surrounding area.

The estate offers a variety of settings for these experiences. Sunrise yoga in The Roost is already something we enjoy ourselves, while the wider landscape provides opportunities to connect with nature and spend time outside. From open countryside views to our bluebell woodland, there are many corners of Tockington Park that lend themselves naturally to rest, reflection and wellbeing.

We already know a number of highly regarded wellbeing professionals and practitioners, and hope to work alongside them to develop retreats that combine expert guidance with the character and setting of the estate. Our aim would be to create thoughtful, small-scale experiences that feel personal, welcoming and deeply connected to the landscape of Tockington Park.

Country pursuits

Traditional countryside pursuits are something we are fortunate to enjoy here at Tockington Park. With a varied landscape and easy access to the countryside, the estate provides a natural setting for outdoor experiences that bring people together.

Looking ahead, we are exploring opportunities to offer simulated game shooting experiences for groups, corporate events and private gatherings. Combining the excitement of clay shooting with the atmosphere and camaraderie of a traditional shoot day, these experiences can be enjoyed by both experienced shots and complete beginners alike.

Working alongside qualified instructors and experienced operators, our aim would be to create enjoyable and accessible days centred around good hospitality, professional guidance and time spent outdoors. Whether as part of a corporate event, private gathering or countryside retreat, the focus would be on enjoyment, participation and shared experience.

As with everything at Tockington Park, we would look to approach these events on a small scale, ensuring guests enjoy a well-organised day that reflects the character of the estate and the warm hospitality for which the countryside is so well known.

Food & gatherings

Bringing people together around good food and hospitality has always been at the heart of life at Tockington Park. Looking ahead, we hope to introduce a small number of seasonal events that celebrate local produce, the changing seasons and the relaxed atmosphere of the estate.

Ideas include traditional harvest suppers, long-table dining experiences and informal gatherings centred around exceptional local ingredients. Working with trusted catering partners and local producers, we would like these events to reflect the character of the countryside and the quality of food available across the region.

As the seasons change, we are also exploring festive events such as Christmas drinks, seasonal suppers and carol evenings within the barns. The estate offers a wonderful setting for smaller gatherings, bringing people together to enjoy good company, food and hospitality.

We are fortunate to work alongside a number of talented food and drink specialists and would love to develop experiences including wine tastings, guided by trusted wine adviser Mimi Avery, and craft beer tastings showcasing some of our favourite local producers, including Bristol-based Wiper and True. Our aim is for these events to be occasional and thoughtfully curated, offering something a little different throughout the year for both local visitors and guests staying on the estate.
