Planning a barn wedding reception near Bristol
A new countryside wedding venue near Bristol
If you are newly engaged and dreaming of a barn wedding reception near Bristol but struggling to find a date that’s available, hopefully we can offer some reassurance.
Couples often tell us they’ve already resigned themselves to a 2028 wedding because so many of the well known venues around Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds are fully booked for peak summer dates.
The good news is that this is not always the case.
Tockington Park is one of the South West’s newest countryside wedding venues and because we have recently opened our doors, we still have availability if you are planning a barn wedding reception for selected summer 2027 dates.

Planning a unique barn wedding at Tockington Park
As one of the newest barn wedding venues near Bristol, Tockington Park still has selected summer 2027 dates available.
While many established wedding venues have years of wedding galleries and hundreds of past celebrations to showcase, Tockington Park has only recently launched.
For some couples, that feels like a leap of faith.
For others, it is an opportunity.
Rather than recreating a wedding you’ve seen dozens of times before, you have the chance to be among the first couples to celebrate here with a unique barn wedding where you can make the space your own.
A barn wedding reception space to make your own
Many couples love the flexibility of a blank canvas wedding venue, but don’t want to start with an empty field or industrial barn.
At Tockington Park the character is already built in. We spent five years carefully restoring the estate’s traditional farm buildings, creating wedding barns that feel welcoming and full of character.
Each barn wedding reception here is unique and you can keep things simple or work with florists, stylists and planners to bring your vision to life.
One of the things we have enjoyed most since opening has been seeing people’s reactions when they first arrive. Hearing guests notice the attention to detail and comment on how naturally the buildings sit within the landscape makes us incredibly proud.
Why choose a barn wedding reception?
One of the reasons couples are drawn to barn weddings is the balance they offer.
You get the beauty of a countryside setting while remaining easily accessible for guests travelling from Bristol, Bath, South Wales and further afield.
Located in South Gloucestershire, Tockington Park is a countryside wedding venue that combines restored farm buildings, expansive views, onsite accommodation and exclusive use of the estate throughout your wedding weekend.
From ceremonies in Swallow Barn to celebrations that spill out onto the terrace and surrounding grounds, the estate has been designed to feel relaxed, connected and exclusively yours for the weekend.
Whether you are planning a more intimate wedding reception or a larger gathering of family and friends, having space to celebrate, stay and spend time together is what makes a wedding weekend feel so special.
Make a weekend of it
A wedding day often feels as though it passes in an instant.
That’s why we have designed Tockington Park around the idea of a wedding weekend rather than a single day.
With four onsite cottages, exclusive use of the estate and plenty of space to gather with family and friends, you can settle in, celebrate and enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. Take a look at our onsite cottages.
Summer at Tockington Park
Every season has its appeal, but summer remains one of the most sought-after times to get married especially at a countryside wedding venue.
May brings fresh colour and blossom across the estate.
June offers long evenings and lingering golden light.
July and August are perfect for drinks on the terrace, garden games and making the most of the countryside setting.
And unlike many venues near Bristol, some of these dates are still available.
Come and see it for yourself
If you’ve been told that every wedding reception venue near Bristol is already booked for summer 2027, it might be worth taking another look.
